Dinnerable Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Dinnerable mobile app and website ("Service"), operated by North Lafayette LLC ("we," "us"). By using Dinnerable you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Dinnerable helps you plan weekly dinners: you share preferences with Dara, our AI assistant, receive recipe suggestions, and can send ingredients to third-party grocery delivery services. Dinnerable is free to use; we earn affiliate commissions from grocery partners when you order through the app (see Section 5).

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

3. AI-generated content & food safety

Dara's suggestions are generated by AI and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying that recipes and ingredients are safe and appropriate for your household — including allergies, dietary restrictions, and medical conditions. Preference settings (e.g., marking an allergy) are a convenience filter, not a guarantee; always check ingredient lists and labels. Dinnerable does not provide medical or nutritional advice. Follow safe food-handling and cooking practices; cooking times and temperatures in recipes are suggestions, not safety guarantees.

4. Third-party services

Grocery ordering, checkout, delivery, pricing, and availability are provided by third parties (e.g., Instacart) under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their services, prices, delivery, or product quality. Recipe content may be sourced from third-party providers (e.g., Spoonacular); attribution is shown where required.

5. Affiliate relationships

Dinnerable earns commissions from grocery partners when you order through links in the app. This does not change the prices you pay. Disclosure also appears in the app at the point of checkout handoff.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering (except where such restriction is prohibited by law), interference with operation, or use of the Service to violate the law or others' rights. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the Service (including abusive use of the AI chat).

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by North Lafayette LLC or its licensors. Recipes and recipe images remain the property of their respective sources. You retain rights to the content you submit (e.g., chat messages, ratings) and grant us a license to use it to operate and improve the Service consistent with our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SUGGESTIONS WILL MEET YOUR DIETARY NEEDS OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTH LAFAYETTE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ILLNESS, INJURY, OR ALLERGIC REACTION ARISING FROM RECIPES OR FOOD PREPARED USING THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (WHICH, FOR A FREE SERVICE, MAY BE $0). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; these apply to the fullest extent permitted.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be flagged in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE — Jason to confirm: Indiana?], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY/STATE], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
